This version of the PM-7 was originally designed in 1948 for the hardcore flathead v8 street Hot Rodders. It also saw great response being marketed to Police departments for use on cop cars. The PM-7 high-rise keeps the carbs cool and helps break up fuel droplets. Horsepower would increase just because you have 2 carbs at work. Another advantage is you can run a stock generator setup with them since they’re not the ‘super’ manifold type. The Thickstun dual high-rise intakes were originally produced by Tommy Thickstun, Frank Baron’s partner in California in the early 1940s. Tommy sadly passed away in 1946 leaving Frank to redesign the intake in 1948.
