Tattersfield / Baron 200 mile an hour Flathead Racing heads – Designed and perfected by Frank Baron circa 1948 and was the first to utilize the 7/16 Pop-up Piston Design. Allowing higher compression and higher flow rates. These heads were tested on the dry lakes of Bonneville and El Mirage. These heads are all out land speed heads. Exclusive to the Tatterfield-Baron design these heads offer a deck thickness that is over one inch thick. The combustion chambers are all C&C machined to provide the exact specifications that made this brand what it is. Unshrouding over the intake valves provide better performance. Valve pocket, 500-550 for 460-500 inch lift cam. Intake pockets enlarged for 1.750 – 1.850 intake valves. Price shown doesn’t include Water Outlet Pipes. One of the images in the gallery shows a side cut of the head. Illustrating how these heads have an enlarged coolant chamber that can hold a gallon of coolant and thus offer optimized cooling performance. Best of all unlike other heads with one outlet, Tatterfield-Baron heads have three outlets positioned right above the exhaust valves. Offering consistent cooling in the hottest areas of the head under the highest of performance applications.
